Veteran's Day Assembly Organized by SAB Students and Staff
November 11th is Veterans Day. In order to honor all who have served in the United States Armed Forces, we will be sponsoring a “Bring a Veteran to School Day” on Monday, November 11. This year we will be hosting a breakfast in honor of our veterans before the all-school assembly. SAB has been preparing for the Veteran’s breakfast event by creating jobs such as waiter, greeter, music coordinator, etc. The breakfast will begin at 8:30 am and will be held in the Commons. Please let us know you’ll join us so that we can plan accordingly. Mrs. Rexilius, along with all JBN students, are working hard in preparation for this special day. The Veterans Day assembly will start at 9:15am. At 9:05, all Veterans will be escorted to the gym for the assembly. Upon conclusion of the assembly, Veterans are welcome to visit the classroom(s) of their grandchild, child, friend or relative to participate in a classroom activity. The entire event will conclude by 10:30 am. Additionally, we are putting together a PowerPoint slideshow to honor U.S. veterans connected to our JB Nelson Community. We are asking for your help in collecting any pictures of JBN students with loved ones who have served or are currently serving.
