JB Nelson Parent Newsletter 11.12.21
Principal’s Message
JB Nelson Families, Veterans Day was celebrated here at JB Nelson yesterday. We were disappointed that we could not hold our parade due to the rain, but our students did enjoy holding an “indoor parade” and thanking the veterans for their service in short video clips. Check out our Veterans day slideshow! We had drizzle, hail and flurries today at recess and it was VERY cold! Please make sure your child has a coat, gloves and hat as we have more of this in the forecast next week. If you need any assistance with getting winter clothes for your family please contact the office as we have resources available and ready to support! We have two PTO parents that took the lead on JBN/BPS Spirit wear this year and there are some fun items to choose from! Please click here to visit the site and place your order. I already placed my order and it was very easy to do! One thing to note is that we are working with a new local Batavia company, Black Cactus Print House, and that all orders will be picked up at their store in downtown Batavia instead of being delivered to the school. Our make-up picture day is Tuesday. If your child missed picture day the first time or if you want them to retake their picture this will be your opportunity. Students who are retaking need to bring their first picture package and return it. If students forget to bring the picture package on Tuesday, the photographer will take their photo but you will not receive the new photo package until you turn in the first one to the school. Here is a link for ordering pictures, use the code: 60484VA. We hope you enjoy your weekend and we will see you on Monday! ~Mrs. Prentiss |
