JB Nelson Families,
Our annual Veterans Day Celebration is coming up on Monday.
All Veterans have been invited to a Breakfast that is hosted by our S.A.B. student leaders. Breakfast starts at 8:30 in the cafeteria. All guests will enter through Door S2 (the old entrance to the school). After our breakfast we will hold an assembly in the Gym. We are looking forward to inviting our Veterans to JBN and thanking them for their service.
Our PTO meeting will be held on Tuesday at 6:30 in the LRC and child care is provided.

All students at JBN learn about social emotional skills in their daily classroom meetings.
All teachers follow the District’s Portrait of a Graduate sequence grades K-5.
This month, our focus is on Self-Awareness
Students are learning how to recognize and understand their own thoughts, emotions, and actions, and how they affect others.
This week…
Students in K-3 are learning about thoughts including using thought bubbles to think about what others may be thinking based on what they observe and their own experiences.
Students in 4-5 are learning more about perspective taking and sharing times when they have had a different perspective in academic and social situations!
