JB Nelson Families,
Our students and staff enjoyed hosting our Veterans Breakfast and assembly on Monday.
Thank you to all families that donated food for the breakfast, sent in photos and brought in Veterans for the students to honor.

Each year in November we hold a schoolwide food drive. The PTO is leading this effort, and has invited all students and staff to bring in non-perishable food the week of Nov. 11-22 to be donated to the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry. The class that donates the most food will earn an extra recess with me on Nov. 25th!
We have noticed that many cars are no longer putting up their signs in the dismissal pick up line. We cannot release students to you unless you have the sign in your windshield. We have different staff that support this role and cannot have all of the cars “memorized”. If you lost your sign, or need another one please call the office at (630) 937-8400 to get a new one. Thank you for helping us to keep our dismissal safe and efficient.
As the weather is turning colder, students are now wearing more jackets and coats. Our Lost & Found is overflowing and will be cleaned out and donated over Thanksgiving break. Please come and look for any clothes you may be missing and please make sure you label your child’s clothing with their name so we can get it back to them if they leave it outside or in the lunchroom and they do not end up in the Lost & Found.
We are excited to announce that all 4th and 5th graders are preparing for our JB Nelson Winter Concert! All students will perform “Disney: The Movies! The Music!”

We hope you enjoy your weekend and we will see you on Monday!
