JB Nelson Newsletter 2.7.25
at JBN learn about social emotional skills in their daily classroom meetings.
All teachers follow the District’s Portrait of a Graduate sequence grades K-5.
This month, our focus is on Positive Relationships.
Students are learning about identifying about what a
positive relationship should look, sound and feel like:
“A relationship is a connection between two people, such as friendships or family members. A positive relationship is when two people act in a way that is respectful, fair, and helpful for both people in the relationship. Relationships should be fair and helpful. A positive relationship makes you feel safe and cared about. It should also make the other person feel safe and cared about.”
You can ask your child the following questions at home:
-
What is a relationship?
-
Who are different people you have relationships with?
-
What do you think a positive relationship means?
