Principal’s Message

Do you follow us on Twitter? See what is happening at JB! Click here.

JB Nelson Families,

Thank you for reviewing the videos that the classroom teachers and Specials teachers sent out for our Open House event last week. Here is my annual Principal video/message: ‘Open House Message from the Principal 2023’.

The Book Fair books were delivered this week! We need volunteers to help set up and break down the book fair. If you are interested, please sign up on the PTO website: https://jbnpto.membershiptoolkit.com/Volunteer\

JB Nelson participates in an Art appreciation program. This is a parent run volunteer program that allows parents to come in and teach a lesson about an artist and have the Ss create something using that artist’s style. Please use this Link to sign up on our PTO website. There will be an informational meeting with the coordinator of this program once she has volunteers signed up for all grades.

Teachers have been communicating with parents about our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences. Please make sure that you sign up for a time to meet with your child’s teacher.

On Wednesday October 4th all teachers in kindergarten through fifth grade will hold conferences from 3:30-8:00PM

On Thursday October 5th, Kindergarten teachers will NOT have students in attendance and will hold conferences from 9:00-3:30. First through Fifth grade teachers will have students in attendance from 9:00-12:00 and will hold conferences from 12:30-3:30.

If you are unable to meet on these days, teachers will work with you to find another time to meet. Our goal is to meet with 100% of parents either in person or virtually.

We hope you enjoy your weekend and we will see you on Monday!

~Mrs. Prentiss
