JB Nelson Families,
This week the fifth grade students completed the IAR test and all make-up tests were completed for third through fifth grade students that were absent last week. Students worked very hard and gave their best effort. Thank you for supporting them at home with a good night’s sleep and solid breakfasts.
We hope to see you all at our “All School Skate ” for JB Nelson families tonight from 4-6 PM. Please use this link to get all of the information!
The month of May is very busy as we wrap up our learning, complete AIMS and MAP assessments, celebrate our amazing staff and hold our end of the year family events like the Spring Social and Fun Run. We are creating a “cheat sheet” for May and I will be sending it out on Monday so that all families know what to expect each week of May!
As I have mentioned in my last three newsletters, we will start the class list process in May. All parents are welcome to reach out to me via email and share any insights about what their children need for next year. I do not honor teacher requests by name, but I would love to hear what kind of teacher would fit their needs and if there are any peers that should or should not be considered to be placed with your child. I will not take requests after May 1st as that is when we officially start our class list creation process.
Students do NOT have school tomorrow as it is a School Improvement Day for teachers. We hope you enjoy your weekend and we will see you on Monday!
~Mrs. Prentiss
