JB Nelson Families,

We took our schoolwide photo on the blacktop this morning! Thank you for making sure your children were wearing blue!

Our annual Trunk or Treat event will be held tomorrow from 2:00-3:30 RAIN OR SHINE! If we move the event inside due to rain, all families will use the old entrance (S2 doors) to enter the event. There will be a 50/50 raffle and some fun raffle baskets. You can pay with cash or card for raffle basket entries. The gym will have a DJ, fun lights and dancing this year! Come ready for some fun!

The sliming of Ms. Amy, Mr. Mannion and Mrs. Prentiss has been officially scheduled for 1:45PM on October 31st. All staff, students and parents are welcome to attend. This will be done on the field. If it rains, we will still be slimed but it will happen in the gym on the stage and there will not be room for parents to view. Either way, we will record the sliming and post it on Instagram for everyone to enjoy!

We are starting to plan for our Veteran’s Day Breakfast and Assembly. Our student leaders plan and run the breakfast which will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11th at 8:30.

If you and your Veteran would like to come to our Veteran’s Day Breakfast and Assembly, please fill out this FORM. We hope to see you there!

We hope you are enjoying the Wishtree book! Our Wishtree chapters for next week are 41-45 and then the following week we finish the book!

As always, please make sure your child charges their Chromebook and has their comfy clothes so they are ready for learning on our Mindful Monday!

All students at JBN learn about social emotional skills in their daily classroom meetings.

All teachers follow the District’s Portrait of a Graduate sequence grades K-5.

For the month of  October our focus will be on Mindset & Goals.

Your mindset is how you think about learning. A growth mindset means believing you can get better by trying, practicing, and learning from mistakes.

Students are exploring what it means to have a growth mindset through videos and books.  Check out this list to read some at home!
